Secrets hidden underneath

From the Artist :

Daily life can sometimes feel covered in a layer of the ordinary—the familiar routines, sights and experiences that we move through without really noticing. Yet beneath this everyday surface may lie memories, emotions and small treasures waiting to be discovered. Secrets Hidden Underneath explores the contrast between the mundane and the meaningful. What appears ordinary at first may hold something precious beneath the surface, waiting to be noticed, understood and cherished. While working on this original artwork, I distinctly remember listening to the great Veena Sahasrabuddhe singing Marva. The sombre, contemplative quality of the raga found its way into the painting, almost without my consciously intending it. Sometimes, art remembers what the artist does not consciously set out to paint.
